The Instructor shall possess an understanding of and commitment to the nature and role of the Community College, particularly its “open door” policy.
Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems. Experience with competency-based education practices. Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes. Experience with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory practices/procedures. 5 years of relevant industry experience and/or certification gained through military service. 3 years of relevant industry experience and/or certification gained from military service. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to aviation, advanced manufacturing, or engineering from a regionally accredited institution. Associate’s degree in a field related to aviation or advanced manufacturing from a regionally accredited institution. Provide daily & ongoing oversight of facilities, equipment and student records to include: participating in professional development opportunities to advance teaching skills and strategies. participating in professional development activities to maintain currency in field maintaining current credentials or licensures as required by program or accreditation. Maintain a professional status that supports the instructional mission by: developing, conducting and documenting appropriate assessment of student learning outcomes in courses and programs/general education as appropriate. participating in the development and review of course and program/general education outcomes as appropriate. updating and revising curriculum to maintain currency. preparing, distributing and utilizing instructional support materials, including course syllabi, supplementary materials, instructional media and other devices as appropriate.
